Hello brothers. We've just published our new perks guide. You can find it in the Guides section on steam or through this. This guide goes far further into examining each perk than prior guides, providing tips and advice on how to use each perk, and answering many nuanced questions along the way.The Guide is long and not expected to be read in one sitting. I recommend using the table of contents to jump to perks of interest. Consider bookmarking the guide so you can easily come back to it later. The Blazing Deserts and Switch release should bring in some new players, so hopefully this guide can be a useful resource for the community.Feedback is welcome and appreciated. We hope you give the guide a look whether you are a new player or veteran. Thanks, we hope you enjoy it.Authors① turtle225turtle225turtle225② AbelAbelVilainJoueurVilain Joueur battlebrothers.fandom.comLeVilainJoueur. Well, that's great and all, but it's also full of absolutes that are - highly questionable.Take the Bags&Belts description: 'Ranged units don't need B&B' and several other clear 'Noes' and 'Don'ts' and 'You will never need xyz'.Just today I fought an undead camp with 2 necromancers and about 30 undead, plenty of Fallen Heroes among them.
My Archer/Throwers used about 20 heavy throwing axes each. It was very necessary to win the fight without losses and not an outlier.Maybe dial it back a notch. For clarity, here the whole text from the guide:' Throwing units do not need Bags for ammoI see it often that people say that Bags is a must pick for Throwing builds.

You will never need 25 Throwing weapons. In the same way that you rarely use more than 15 arrows you are not going to use more than 15 Throwing weapons. If you want some ammo insurance then bring two Throwing stacks and use your last slot for a Bow or Crossbow. This has the added benefit of giving you a long range option that Throwing lacks while also providing you with plenty of ammunition.
Furthermore, it doesn't cost you a perk since you can take Bow/Crossbow mastery instead of Bags. You do not need Bags for Throwing builds unless you are using those last two slots for some other reason that you deem worthwhile, but not for more ammunition. 'No edits by me. Clearly stated: 'You will never need 25 TWs' / 'You are not going to use more than 15 TWs' 'You do not need B&B for throwing builds'Tell me how my quotes were 'out of context.
Pure archers aren't very good vs armor. With two to four (cough) perks - 'Throwing Weapon mastery', 'Duelist', 'Quickhands' and (maybe) 'Bags&Belts' - you can turn them into excellent damage dealers against every enemy. The heavy throwing weapons of the northern barbarians do the most damage here, but get a penalty to hitchance - which is still worth it, once you have ranged units with 90+ ranged skill. If your Bro doesn't have enough fatigue, you can take 'Recover' instead of 'Footwrk' (well, or 'Bags&Belts' - but I think you can run into ammo problems without it. Maybe even for 'Quickhands, but then your damage output could suffer.). The only ranged unit I've used which needs bags and belts is a whip thrower, and thats purely so he can carry extra shit to actually make him relevant at all like a polearm and a spiked impaler or whatever else would be needed for a specific fight. I have used crossbow hybrids, bow hybrids, throwing archers, crossbow throwers, triple mastery (cleaver) hybrids and I have never encountered a situation where bags would have actually helped. The only thing I havent done is a pure thrower, but I doubt I would even care for bags on that, they would be ised either as a frontloaded damage burst, which is all the damage you need from throwers.
Or I'd use them to setup injuries for others with CS. Either way bags not needed. Ranged units do not need B&B.Except this statement is indeed correct.First, if you have one battle out of a hundred in which you end up using more than 15 throwing weapons, you don't need B&B.Second, the only reason you did end up using so many throwing weapons was because you used a wrong type of bro for the fight.
You don't bring throwing weapons against massive swarms of weak units, just like you don't bring archers against ancient dead or whips against enemies who don't use weapons. In any fight you would want your thrower to have you don't need B&B. Sorry if i sounded patronizing, i am merely trying to disprove your point. No need to get salty over an internet argument.Whether or not you see your enemies doesn't change the fact that this is simply not the situation you would want to use throwers in. I may be just too spoiled from playing poacher start too much, but even otherwise you can just retreat and pick better troops. It also wasn't 'a massive swarm of weak units', there were lots of Fallen Heroes. So, what was the main threat here? A lot of fallen heroes with some zombies as backup?
Deal with fallen heroes and by the time your out of axes, rest of the company mops up the rest. If the zombies are the main threat, it's a bad matchup. But even besides this, a situation like this is going to be exceedingly rare, so you're essentially picking a perk that only does something.
